Day 1: Arrival in Kigali International Airport

You will be welcomed by our English-speaking guide and drive to your accommodation for relaxation. preparing for the next day’s journey. This gives you a chance to unwind and get ready for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park

On this day we shall drive to the northern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable national park. We shall pass via the picturesque villages with some stopovers for photos and stretching of legs. You will have an overnight on the lodge which next to the forest close to streams.

An evening relaxation on camp fire as you watch the native women performing traditional dances is the big deal at luxury Mahogany springs lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla tracking and Pangolin Experience

The northern sector of Bwindi is an area where the first gorilla family Mubare was habituated for Gorilla tourism in 1993. After your early morning breakfast, we shall have 5 minutes’ drive to the park briefing point where gorilla trekking starts from. You can either walk straight to trail head or drive to the starting point depending on your allocated group as we have many groups.

You will hike through the forest boggy terrain system as you interact with nature, you will spot different bird species, butterflies, plants among others on the trail with the help of your ranger guide

The time for this experience depends on where these great apes were left the previous day and once you locate mountain gorillas, you are only allowed 1 hour with the mountain gorillas.

After Gorilla tracking, we shall have pangolin experience, we shall visit the pangolin rehabilitation center which is adjacent to the forest to learn more about forest pangolins.

This day promises a unique and interactive experience with both gorillas and pangolins. It sounds like a truly memorable adventure!

Day 4: Batwa Experience in morning and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Your Day 4 brings a wonderful blend of cultural immersion and natural beauty. After breakfast, walk to the Batwa homesteads adjacent to the park. The Batwa, who once inhabited the forest, demonstrate their traditional ways of living in harmony with wildlife. This visit supports the Batwa community and contributes to gorilla conservation.

Afternoon: Head to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa, for an overnight stay at Acacia Lodge. The lake, known as the “lake of little birds,” has 29 islands dotted with terraced hills. Canoeing around these islands offers a breathtaking experience.

This day promises a rich cultural experience with the Batwa and a serene evening at Lake Bunyonyi. It sounds like a perfect way to conclude your safari adventure!

You will have an overnight at Acacia lodge

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali for 3 pm flight back home

After an early morning breakfast, we shall drive straight to Kigali via Gatuna-Rwanda-Uganda one stop border pass via Rwanda countryside as we say bye to Uganda the pearl of Africa. We shall have a hot lunch in Kigali the capital of Rwanda as we head to the airport for pm flight back home.
