It’s not just adrenaline—it’s immersion into a UNESCO-protected biodiversity hotspot.
The Nyungwe zipline is a true gem of East African adventure—stretching an incredible 1,935 meters, it’s one of the longest ziplines on the continent. Suspended high above the treetops of Nyungwe Forest National Park
You are harnessed in, heart racing, standing at the launch platform at Uwinka Visitor Center. Below you – Nyungwe National Park with a sprawling 1,019 km² of ancient rainforest—the largest in Rwanda and one of Africa’s oldest. The guide gives a signal, and you leap. You will soar across deep valleys and ancient canopies, misty montane forest, rare birds.
Suddenly, you are flying above the treetops, gliding across three thrilling zipline sections that stretch nearly 2 kilometers. The air is cool, filled with the scent of moss and wild orchids. Below, the forest pulses with life—13 primate species, including chimpanzees and colobus monkeys, swing through the canopy. Hornbills and turacos flash their colors as they soar between branches.
Each segment of the zipline offers a new perspective, one cuts across a deep valley, revealing misty ridges in the distance. Other skims the bamboo-covered slopes.
The final stretch brings you eye-level with the canopy walkway, where hikers wave from the suspended bridge. Indulge yourself in this adrenaline experience
