Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park is an incredible adventure!. With its rich biodiversity and large chimpanzee population, it’s no wonder it’s a top destination for primate enthusiasts. Kibale National Park is home to 13 primate species, making it a prime location for chimpanzee trekking thus being dubbed as primate capital of Africa. The park has four chimpanzee communities, with the Kanyanchu area being the most popular for trekking.
To minimize disturbances, trekking is done in two shifts—morning and afternoon—with small groups of six individuals.
Besides chimpanzees, you’ll encounter various bird species, butterflies, and other mammals, enriching your trekking experience.
It is a memorable experience, especially if you visit during the low season for better photography opportunities.
