If you are short of time and only have one night to visit Masai Mara, then this is the perfect solution – take a short 1-hour flight from Nairobi to Masai Mara, and on arrival you’ll be met by your Driver-Guide to begin your Safari. Fly back to Nairobi the next morning after breakfast.

Detailed itinerary

Day 01: Nairobi to Masai Mara – Safari Begins

Early morning Departure from Nairobi

Pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)

Transfer to Wilson Airport for your domestic flight (reporting time: 1 hour prior), the Flight baggage limit is 15 kg per person

Board your scenic flight to Masai Mara (approx. 1 hour)

By midday you as you arrive in Masai Mara, you will have a warm welcome at the airstrip by your lodge’s professional Driver-Guide

Transfer in a 4×4 safari vehicle to your luxury lodge—Mara Serena Safari Lodge, perched with panoramic views of the reserve

Enjoy a delicious lunch (if arriving on a morning flight), Relax and soak in the lodge’s serene atmosphere

Afternoon Game- Drive-Depart for your first safari game drive around 3:30 PM

Explore the Mara’s rich wildlife—expect sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes, and more

Note: Game drives may be shared with other lodge guests

You will return to the lodge at around 6:00–6:30 PM. Indulge in a hearty dinner and unwind under the African stars

Day 02: Return to Nairobi

After a relaxed breakfast and check out, you now bid farewell to Masai Mara as you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi [ flying time approx. 1 hour]. Upon arrival in Nairobi, we’ll have our Driver-guide waiting for you at the Wilson Airport for onward transfer to your hotel or to the international airport.
