According to statistics in 2024-Uganda coffee was ranked 3rd best in the world by professional coffee tasters in a survey of the top 16 coffee-growing countries in the world.

 In August 2025 it was a record-breaking Month for Uganda’s Coffee on the World scene, Uganda exported 855,441 bags of coffee, generating $202.75 million in revenue. Arabica beans surged in value by nearly 64% compared to August 2024. This growth reflects not just volume, but a rising demand for Uganda’s clean, fruity flavor profiles—especially in discerning markets like Japan and Europe

Uganda is now Africa’s leading coffee exporter, ahead of Ethiopia, with coffee as its top foreign exchange earner. Uganda’s coffee is no longer just a commodity—it’s a cultural representative. The rich volcanic soils in Kisoro near volcanic mountain of Muhabura and Sabyinyo, organic farming practices, and farmer dedication are now translating into global recognition and premium prices.

The roasting process is an experience its own. Guests are introduced to three stages of roasting where they participate for instance-Light Roast with bright acidity, floral and citrus notes—ideal for highlighting origin, Medium Roast-balanced body and sweetness, with hints of chocolate or nuts. And last dark Roast, which is bold, smoky, and intense—perfect for enthusiasts of deep flavor.

Each roast tells a different story of the highlands, shaped by altitude, soil, and tradition.

The organic coffee farming experience is enclosed with Cupping & Aroma Testing In a guided tasting session by trained coffee farmer- guests learn the professional method of cupping:

  • Coffee is brewed and slurped (often with a quick spit) to aerate and spread flavor across the taste.
  • Participants compare light, medium, and dark roasts from the highlands, evaluating aroma, acidity, body, and after taste.
  • The experience is both scientific and poetic—where flavor meets memory, and aroma evokes place.
