Walking close to animals is not just about photography—it’s a form of travel therapy for nature lovers. Imagine stepping quietly along the trails, guided by a ranger, listening to the whispers of the wild. Giraffes and zebras graze calmly nearby, each animal carrying a conservation story you will take home with you.

The park offers Unique Experiences You Won’t Find Elsewhere in Africa, Guided nature walks among zebras and giraffes, game drives through the savanna, Birding paradise with rare species like the shoebill and African finfoot and Night drives to discover Uganda’s nocturnal wildlife.

This trip offers a rare blend of adventure, culture, and tranquility in just three days.

Detailed trip

Day 1: Mabamba Wetlands & Lake Mburo National Park

Begin your adventure from Entebbe as dawn breaks. Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation and set course for Mabamba Swamp.

Glide through the papyrus channels in a canoe, searching for the legendary shoebill stork—Uganda’s most sought‑after prehistoric bird. For keen birders, no safari to Uganda feels complete without this encounter.

After your birding experience, continue the journey through the countryside, pausing at the Equator for photos and a refreshing break.

Arrive at Uganda’s only park where zebras roam freely, alongside impalas, elands, and other savannah wildlife.

Optional Night Game Drive

As darkness falls, venture into the park to discover nocturnal wonders. Look out for leopards, hyenas, bushbabies, and porcupines. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed—each glimpse is a rare gift of nature.

Day 2: Nature Walk & Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo

Begin your day with an early morning guided walk through the savanna. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda where you can step off the vehicle and interact closely with nature. Walking near zebras and giraffes, pausing for photos, and listening to the sounds of the wild creates an unforgettable experience. A ranger guide will escort you along the trails, ensuring safety while sharing insights about the ecosystem. This activity promotes sustainable travel by allowing guests to connect with wildlife in a low‑impact way.

Later, embark on a relaxing boat ride across Lake Mburo. Glide past hippos wallowing in the water and crocodiles basking along the shoreline. For bird enthusiasts, this is a birding paradise—Lake Mburo is renowned for its unique species, including the African finfoot, the elusive shoebill, and many others. Each sighting adds to your birding checklist and deepens your appreciation of Uganda’s rich biodiversity.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Return to Kampala via Equator

After breakfast, set out for a final game drive along Lake Mburo’s trails. This is the best time to witness the savanna awakening—animals emerging from their night shelters, others gathering at the salt lick, and the golden light casting a magical glow across the plains.

Expect to see zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and perhaps elusive predators making their way back from the hunt. Each sighting offers a memorable farewell to Uganda’s wilderness.

After the game drive, begin your return journey. En route, pause at the Equator for the famous “Equator Experience” and photography—a perfect keepsake of your adventure.

Continue past Uganda’s bustling towns and villages, observing everyday life and the vibrant rhythm of the countryside before arriving back in Kampala.
