Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Cultural Engagement

Arrival in Kigali depending on your flight time, begin with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a moving tribute to Rwanda’s history and resilience. You will have lunch in Kigali to have a taste of Rwandan cuisine for the first time before heading north.

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park a journey through Rwanda’s lush hills to the home of the mountain gorillas.

Cultural Visit to Gorilla Guardian the former Iby’iwacu Village: Experience traditional Rwandan music, dance, and customs in this vibrant community-based tourism initiative. You will have an overnight Settle into DaVinci Gorilla Lodge, nestled near the park with stunning views of the Virunga volcanoes.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Adventure

You will start with early Morning Briefing at Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a safety and etiquette briefing. After you will start Gorilla Trekking- Embark on a guided hike through misty forests in search of one of Rwanda’s habituated gorilla families. The trek can take 2–6 hours depending on their location.

Once located, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Head back to the lodge for lunch and a well-deserved afternoon of rest.

 Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking & Return to Kigali

You will return to the park for a briefing on golden monkey tracking.

Golden Monkey Trekking takes place when a guest hike into the bamboo forests to find these playful, endangered primates—unique to the Virunga After your trek, drive back to Kigali with hearts full of memories.

 If time allows, visit Kimironko Market for local crafts, produce, and souvenirs.
